How does a client find the status of their subrogation claim(s)?
RG provides clients with a secure online portal to check the status of claims, which we update every 24 hours. In addition, we have a client relations team to assist with any additional questions.
How do I place a subrogation claim?
We have a secure sharefiles site for you to send claims to subroservice@rathbonegroup.com without worrying about size or security – at zero cost. This site will automatically notify you when we download a claim. Find more information on our How to Send a New Claim page.
What is your fee structure for subrogation case management?
Rathbone Group’s attorneys’ fees are contingency, so you don’t pay unless we recover. However, the client is responsible for applicable court costs. We will consider other alternative fee arrangements as well; reach out to speak to a Rathbone Group Partner.
What kind of volume can you handle?
We are happy to accept one claim at a time, but we have also done special projects to take over portfolios with hundreds or even thousands of subrogation claims at a time.

We also have an online eNotary program to help our clients process affidavits and releases when a notary is not physically present or you work from home. RG’s program is a remote online notary, which allows us to process multiple documents in one session via a secure platform to meet and share documents without needing to be in the same jurisdiction in order to lawfully notarize them.

What payment forms do you accept?
We offer several convenient options to pay your subrogation claim: credit/debit card, check (by phone or online), money order/cashier’s check, or Zelle:
- Credit/Debit Cards:
- To make an online credit/debit/prepaid card payment, select “Make a Payment’, “Payment Form”, then follow the intructions.
- Credit/Debit payments are subject to a vendor processing fee, currently 3.875%.
- We cannot accept card payments in the following states: MA, ME, KS, CO or CA.
- Check by Phone or Check by Web:

How do I make a one-time payment online?
First, navigate to our secure payment portal by clicking the “Make a Payment” link at the top right-hand corner of RG’s website. After agreeing to the Legal Disclaimer and moving onto the Payment Form screen, you’ll see the option for “Frequency”. Select “One-Time” payment and proceed with the payment process.

How can I get my driver’s license released?
Requirements for having a suspended driver’s license released after satisfying a subrogation judgment vary by state. Contact us at (855) 869-4036 to discuss the process with a subrogation claims specialist.
Once payment is made, when does the driver’s license release process begin?
Processing a driver’s license release can begin once the agreed funds from your subrogation case post to your account and clear:
- The payment method (check, debit card, etc.) determines when the funds clear.
- A specialist can provide your state’s specific steps to driver’s license release.
